We should make factions 10,000 or something
People can just kill mobs and combine their money, take an hour or so.

haha thanks, and as for the random useless factions issue..
theres actually a solution to that which i've recently found, its a timer that auto deletes factions if the members are inactive... this is great for multiple reasons!

-looting old factions land that gets disowned
-land constantly being unclaimed for new members to use
-stopping ridiculously large amounts of factions

I agree completely. I ponder this myself.
This is why we have launched promotional campaigns, free VIP status to the top 3 advertisers.


Ability to Make factions = More members
Advertising = More members
More members = More donations
More donations = More factions
More factions = More members

And the chain continues. The problem is that not many people see what you have pointed out. We are trying to reduce random factions with random people just joining and being useless.
So we have launched this campaign which by sunday will grant the server 4 more factions. S more places for people to go, and 4 more groups of happy people.

If this does not work, then we will need to consider this even more.

Okay so I'll try to keep this short and sweet...

The server has supernatural players and honestly this is, and always will be... one of my favorite server plugins... and the combination of that with the factions plugin.. its perfect!

except... you can't create a faction without donating... and thus people will just leave shortly after joining... as there are little to NONE online at the time to interact with.. and nothing new to do!

i have discussed this issue with a couple moderators online and although i now know that you guys wish to have a system in which there are BIG factions that wage war upon each-other, thats not the case with minecraft, it just isn't and unfortunately won't be for a while with the way these plugins are designed!


lastly here is my chain reaction of why this will fail

People come on thinking siiiick pvp with a fast server and cool plugins!
but just leave due to the inability to do anything safely without having to donate, but who wants to donate on a server with no one even on? (social aspect of gaming = gone)

sure you guys will advertise but you need a constant level of faction mods and admins on to keep your player level up(which is not possible the way you have it)

no donations = server goes bye bye, unless of course you use all your earnings on it, which isn't the best choice
