Active Rank Suggestion

I've been wondering if there could possibly be a rank for all the active players of the server and if they stop being active for a while after they get their rank they get demoted. I think it would be a good idea to recognize all the active players.

I sort of like this idea, but I don't see the point if there aren't any special quirks that went with it. On the few servers I've been with that had this, you got special commands or items as a prize if you were given the active player label. I don't really see the point of it if you don't get anything for it. In fact, it's kind of stuck up if you just want it so you can go around saying you're more active than everyone else :T

How would it work? Say, if a player was on at least once every day and/or X number of hours for 2-3 weeks, it would say [A]/[AP] (for active/active player) or [D]/[DP] (for dedicated/dedicated player) or at least something to that effect next to their name. Then, if they don't log on for X number of days, either that is removed or they're given another tag that means they used to be active.

Of course, that's a much lower scale than is normally the case. On some older servers, you don't get that label unless you're there for at least three or four months, and you get a special "legend" or "past" (et cetera) label if you're not on for a month after getting that. But this server isn't large enough or old enough for that time ration, imo.

Plus, how active you are shouldn't be the only basis for deciding who is/isn't faction worthy :T If you're an active member, as well, you should know how active the person is just by noticing them around. If you don't know them, they probably aren't that active or are mainly on at a different time, neither circumstance which would be that helpful for your faction, imo. I don't think you need an active member tag to tell how active someone is.

Of course, feel free to ignore my opinion considering I'm new to the whole faction deal. I suppose it could be harder to tell than it seems; perhaps I'm just making light of something I haven't experienced that much of.

wow that acturaly is a good reason to be faction worthy you dont want people who arnt active and u do want people on different time zones so they can guard your base even when ur not on

Bambi think about what you're saying before you post it. As Cherry said if you're active you would be a huge faction benefit because you would keep the faction safe and active so it doesn't get disbanded for inactivity. Plus if they're active they would most likely know the rules, spawn, and helpfull things to know about the server for anyone that may ask. It would be great for all these reasons and possibly more.
