We can't downgrade an entire server for one person. But I can assist you in the upgrade problem. Ill help diagnose the issue. Follow these steps first:

Windows user:

Go to start -> run -> then type in %appdata% -> Find your minecraft folder -> then go into it and find bin -> delete bin. This will force your minecraft to update itself the new bin (you need an internet connection). A simple way to do this is to checkmark the "Force Update" button under your name when you launch minecraft. This will do the same thing for you.

Mac user:

First try force updating. Now depending on your operating system, go to finder, then hit "Go" at the top of your screen -> now select "go to folder", a box should appear, type in the following: ~/Library/ and then hit enter. Navigate to "Application support" from there, and then find minecraft, go into it and delete "bin" yet again.

If the following steps do not work, then please specify the issue, or tell me what steps are troubling you.
